Don’t you ever get frustrated when you can come up with a good idea, and your brain seemingly only pumps out bad ones? Well, those “bad” ideas could be the very ideas that someone else is trying to think up. It’s all in perspective. What may seem like trash to someone could be gold to another.
I think the people who stand out are the ones who aren’t afraid to follow through with a so-called “bad” idea. I’m not saying that you should climb a mountain with no safety rope. I’m saying that ideas vary greatly, and the ones that seem ridiculous aren’t always bad. Andy Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans caused upset initially because of its commercialism, but its now hailed as a prime example of pop art. Something you wouldn’t expect to be considered art is art.
Don’t be so hard on yourself. You could be a genius in the eyes of another.
