Lily Allen is back!

Dear reader,

My favorite singer, Lily Allen, released a new cover of a song after announcing a hiatus from music in 2009.

It’s a cover of Keane’s Somewhere Only We Know, and it’s the first full song from Lily since so long ago. She was featured in P!nk’s True Love, but she only had a bit in that one. She’s also releasing a new album soon after years since her last one, It’s Not Me, It’s You.

Lily is from London, England, so her charming British accent can be heard through her songs, which is very rare because usually accents are lost when singing.

Please check out some of her music! I can listen to her songs over and over again without getting bored. Here’s a few of my favorites:

Not Fair

Littlest Things

Everyone’s At It

Who’d Have Known

Everything’s Just Wonderful

Naive (The Kooks)

I’m Outta Time (Oasis)

Straight to Hell (The Clash)

Everybody’s Changing (Keane)

Don’t Get Me Wrong (The Pretenders)

There are a lot more songs, but the pyramid would be too big to be aesthetically pleasing. I hope you enjoy.

Yours Truly,

  1. Elise, I didn’t know you were a Lily Allen fan! Thank you for posting this, I wasn’t aware she had released a new song. Personally, I love Who’d Have Known and The Fear.

    1. I didn’t know you were either! She’s my all-time favorite musician. 🙂

    1. Thanks for sharing! 🙂 I just listened to the song a few minutes ago. I’m not really a fan of the auto-tune though. 😦
